Turn Advocacy into Action

Join your fellow CASCWA members and pupil-services leaders for a powerful afternoon of advocacy at the California State Capitol. Legislative Day connects our collective expertise in child welfare, attendance, and engagement with the policymakers shaping education’s future. 

Why Participate:

  • Strengthen CASCWA’s Voice: A united front amplifies our impact on statewide decisions.

What to Expect on March 18th:

  • Assemble at Hyatt Regency (1:00PM -1:15 PM)
  • Walk to the Capital (1:15 PM-1:30 PM)
  • Legislative Visits (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM): Team meetings at the Capitol or virtual sessions.
  • Debrief Webinar (Wed, 3/15 at 12:00 PM-12:45 PM): Share insights and next-step actions.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Reducing chronic absenteeism through MTSS.
  • Removing barriers for foster, homeless, and multilingual learners.
  • Aligning pupil-services priorities with LCAP goals and funding.
