Presentation 1: Homeless Families Support in the Bay Area

Family Emergency Shelter Coalition (FESCO)

Sarah oversees La Familia’s (FESCO) Housing and supportive services programs. Sarah will provide an overview of services provided through FESCO, share information on steps to support families in finding affordable housing, and tips and tools for navigating available affordable housing resources.

Join a presentation on a community schools support system for newcomer students.  Attorneys from Centro Legal de la Raza and the Newcomer Services Coordinator from the Hayward Unified School District and member of Alameda County’s Center for Healthy Schools & Communities will share about the increasing number of newcomer students enrolling in schools in the East Bay.  Learn about the challenges facing students and their families and the collaborative strategies to support newcomers’ legal issues and related needs.
