K-12 Student Data Analytics & Family Communication | SchoolStatus

CASCWA is thrilled to announce that SchoolStatus is evolving, bringing together the capabilities of their recent acquisitions—ClassTag, SI&A, TeachBoost, and Smore—united under a single, cohesive SchoolStatus brand.

SchoolStatus: The first centralized K-12 attendance and communications platform

Why the change?

Our mission has always been to empower educators, administrators, and districts to enhance student outcomes. Expanded product offerings will allow us to achieve that mission more effectively.  The new SchoolStatus combines attendance, communication, and data solutions into a streamlined, integrated experience.

What does this mean for you?

  • Unified Platform: SchoolStatus simplifies your workflow.
  • Enhanced Communication: Enjoy a powerful, centralized communication hub that spans every aspect of school-home connections including email, newsletters, SMS, calls, and mass notifications.
  • Tools to Tackle Chronic Absenteeism: Improve attendance with automated interventions and proactive outreach.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Understand, analyze, and act on key insights for attendance and truancy, family engagement, and performance at district, school, and classroom levels.
  • Improved User Experience: We've revamped our platform, prioritizing user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation.

CASCWA looks forward to working with SchoolStatus for many years to come!  We look forward to their participation at our 2024 CASCWA State Conference!

GREAT NEWS - 2023-24 Model SARB Recognition Program

The CDE Model SARB Recognition Program was put on hold for 2023.  The program identifies outstanding results-based school attendance improvement programs that provide comprehensive services to high-risk youth with school attendance or school behavior problems.

Below you will find a link to a recent power point presentation delivered to CDE's State SARB Board!  The power point focuses on the return of the Model SARB recognition program for the 2023-4 school year.  There will probably be a few changes to this power point information and dates!  We will keep you informed.

2023-24 Model SARB Recognition Program State SARB Mtg-7-2023.pdf

Every California School District has an opportunity to be recognized!  Programs that are identified serve as models for other districts and greatly improve a districts ADA.  Throw your hat in the ring for 2023-24!

This program is essential to improve student attendance throughout the State of California.  CASCWA commends David Kopperud for his leadership in making this important program a reality, David retired this past year and his position is being filled soon.  We look forward to the resumption of the model school program.
